As many of you may know, I started off early in my career as a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics. Since I am now located in Kuwait, I rely heavily on ordering a lot of my makeup online now (cosmetics in Kuwait are very expensive!) For those of you that also shop on their website, MacCosmetics.com, you’d know that they have a section called “Goodbyes”; a portion of the site that shows you products that will soon be discontinued. Recently I stumbled upon the Goodbye section and was shocked to see how many products they are doing away with, shocked! Many of which included foundation shades that specifically cater to women of color. Here are just a few of the products they have decided to get rid of, some of which are my favorite’s of all time!
Revealing Lipglass (My absolute favorite nude lipgloss for women of color!)
Bisque Eyeshadow (Probably one of their best brow bone highlights for women of color, some of their others come off too white, or too frosty on our complexions)
Hepcat Eyeshadow (A beautiful jewel-toned mauve)
Mineralize Foundation SPF 15 (shades which range from NC55-NW55)

It’s no secret that MAC is commonly known for discontinuing popular products only to re-release them later on. Something I am not too pleased about, especially since now these products are going bye-bye, the only way you will probably be able to find them is on sights like Amazon or Ebay, where sellers often hike up the prices. So not fair! How do you guys feel about the things MAC is discontinuing? What are some of your favorites?
