I’ve been using the Coastal Scents Camouflage Concealer Palette for about a year now and never thought to use it as a foundation. So out of no where I thought, why not give it a shot? For those of yall that don’t know, concealers can in fact be used all over face as a foundation. They are virtually the same thing if you really think about it. Concealers just tend to have more coverage, in theory they are supposed to at least. So Here’s the look I created using Coastal Scents are other various brands:
SO what’s the verdict? I wasn’t particularly impressed to be quite honest! At least not for my skin type. I’m all for the dewey look no doubt, but THIS stuff was too dewey on me. Mind you I also didn’t set it with any powder because I wanted to test it out on its on. And by the time I got finished filming the video tutorial on this look I was already glistening. No bueno! The coverage is light to medium which was fine seeing as I really don’t need a lot.
I won’t judge too harshly though, seeing as foundations aren’t one size fits all. What doesn’t wow me, may work wonders for someone else. One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure, right? Well those of you out there that have dry to normal skin might love this product as a foundation. I think it’s a great starter palette for those of you pursuing makeup artistry, I will say that. All in all at the great price of less than $20 (depending on where you purchase) I think it’s definitely worth judging for yourself. But personally I will stick to using it as concealer.
