Poetic Justice Jeans Look Book
Categories: Makeup Tutorials

Poetic justice Jeans is a line for women like me.

I don’t have a Marilyn Monroe “standard” body. I have average size boobs, big hips, a huge toosh and a flat waist. I pretty much stay the same weight all year round and have been at this weight for about 3 years now.

I am not shaped like “the average girl”, I think we should celebrate all shapes and sizes, not with this ‘real women have curves’ stuff we are trying to shove down everyone’s throats, because everyone’s ‘reality’ varies from person to person.

There is beauty in all shapes and sizes! Poetic Justice is designed to fit YOUR shape. That’s their motto, and I digs it. My measurements are all out of whack and sometimes buying clothes really can be frustrating, MAINLY when purchasing anything below the waist! lol So when they initially contacted me about reviewing their line of jeans of course I was all over it! I haven’t bought a new pair of jeans in years, for the simple fact that they often fit terribly.

I put together five looks with four different styles. I wanted to show the versatility they offer.

These were the pair that I found were a little too big at the waist on me, not like anyone will notice but because they could be taken in about an inch or two at the waist they actually make me look a bit bigger. But I don’t care because they’re cute as hell lol When I do jeans I tend to go for this color/wash because it’s the most flattering and versatile. I’m sure nce I run them through the dryer a few times they should be fine. I’ve already done it once and they fit better than the way they did fresh out of the box. The other printed jeans seem to run a bit truer to size so they’re way more skin tight as you can see, but these even at the smallest size 26 were too big for me. The fact that they’re midrise might also have a lot to do with it also as I find lowrise jeans fit me much better since my waist to hip ratio is so off balance.

Aside from the individual links I losted for each pair, be sure to visit my Poetic Justice boutique and use coupon code Lilpumpkinpie50 for 50% off! YES you read that correctly! 50% OWF!! Hurr’ up girl!!
**make sure you type Lilpumpkinpie”50″  and not “05″, it’s a type-o. But the coupon code does work, because I tested it for you guys :)

Now, OF COURSE this line of jeanswear is designed for women who are on the curvier side, that’s a given. But the fact that they do it without bashing or excluding other women of various shapes is what makes me happy. I was browsing through their website and found Standards and Practices line which serves a full line of clothing for all sizes. They also have a website dedicated to extended and plus sizes. Yay!

How do you guys like the lookbook idea?! Thinking of putting together another one with a collection of fall/winter looks EXCEPT it’s difficult to do that when you live in Los Angeles, it’s mid-November and it still feels like summer! So maybe I’ll just have to tweak some thangs :)

Thank you guys so much for reading, and just for the overall support. I look forward to my daily escape when I am able to interact with people who are just as beauty/fashion obsessed as me and it is always an honor and a pleasure connecting with so many of you fabulous ladies (and some gents). Have an amazing weekend, and go be fabulous everyone!
