So today’s look is going to be a twist on the traditional bride but with a bit more color: hence the “modern bride”.
For this tutorial I am also featuring my Dinair airbrush makeup kit because in my introduction video a lot of you guys were saying it didn’t provide enough coverage. However that first video was just an introduction and me showing you how to use the machine, in this tutorial I am going to be showing you how I achieve more coverage so you can truly see how fabulous airbrush makeup is. I, like you all, was not a believer at first but once you get the hang of this thing you’ll see how amazing it is!
Also, since you’re a bride you’ll be on the go and will most likely look for something that’s quick and easy. I created this 4 color purple eyeshadow palette just for this look, the shadows are all from MAC so you’ll have something that’s easier to find and easy to work with and carry around on your big day.
What I used
Foundation of choice (I’m using my Dinair airbrush system as mentioned previously)
MAC Vex eyeshadow
MAC Fig 1 eyeshadow
MAC Shadowy Lady eyeshadow
MAC Crystal eyeshadow
Smashbox Photofinish lid primer
Smashbox Limitless eyeliner
NARS Dolce Vita Blush
Eye M Glam by Giella
MAC Modesty Lipstick
The tutorial everyone has been inquiring about in my last couple videos this week is finally here
If you haven’t already noticed, I am REALLY enjoying and getting my money’s worth out of my Urban Decay Naked Palette. If you don’t already own one, you might want to consider it so you can follow along with all the fun the rest of us are having ^_^ this is truly a makeup artist and makeup enthusiast must have!
Anyhow, as I’ve been discussing on Facebook and Twitter and here on the blog, I’d like to do a series of bridal looks. But being that bridal is such a large genre, I’d like to do a few looks to fit different styles for every bride. The smokey/glam bride is what I’d like to consider this one. Because bridal, quite frankly to me, isn’t just about a natural look. I thought I’d kick it up just a notch

Collaboration time! The fun part about making is being able to creatively bring heads together with other artists. JeanFrancoisCD on YouTube contacted me about doing this look for the new Brandy and Monica Video, It all Belongs to Me and thought it would be awesome to do our own versions of the looks. I can’t remember the last time I did a video collaboration but I had so much fun with this one! Simply because he not only is fabulous as an artist but also as a person. I had fun and it was fun to be someone else for a change; the makeup looks in this video are off THE chain. Here, let me show you! (Watch full screen and in high quality if available, it does it MUCH better justice!)
Here is my version of the look Jean did the lime look that Monica wore in the video and I recreated the purple look Monica wore with nude lips.
